I recently read an article in my local newspaper about manual laborers in Nicaragua who are suffering from an epidemic of kidney failure that has been killing thousands.  (Worked to Death? Once the patient has reached this stage, kidney surgeons usually recommend dialysis. Along with putting the patient on dialysis, they will also suggest to you if you are eligible for a kidney transplant or not.
